Mary Jones trek

The National Youth Department's director Mary Hughes walked from Sydney to Melbourne in 1984 to raise funds for the Bible Society. She was dressed as Mary Jones, who made the famous trek across Wales in search of a Bible, which became the catalyst for the foundation of the British and Foreign Bible Society.
